Veronica moved to the Sarasota-Bradenton area more than a decade ago from Washington, D.C. where she served in multiple leadership roles. She created a strong bond and earned institutional trust while managing more than $800 million dollars in assets and assisting philanthropists in their desire to leave meaningful legacies. She has been recognized and published for her ability to integrate branding and fundraising for many national and international programs, including projects for the Smithsonian Institution’s billion-dollar campaign.
Her list of philanthropists and patrons ranged from local, national, and international celebrities, fashion designers and even royalty.
In the Sarasota-Bradenton area, Veronica is often referred to as a local celebrity. She hosted her own radio show on WSRQ, “Tell Me Something Good”, where she promoted human interest topics that celebrate good news, philanthropy, and persons of interest in the community. She also hosted her own television show on SNN and was a bimonthly special guest star on ABC7’s variety show, "Suncoast View," where she shared her thoughts, views and “Good News in the Community.” She also produces and host, "Keeping it Real SRQ" on SNN, Saturday's at 11:30am.
Prior to joining Coldwell Banker, she served as senior vice president for Goodwill Industries International. She created multiple programs and initiatives that were duplicated around the globe with stellar success. Veronica notes that she is proudest of the award-winning Veterans Services Program and Community Ambassador Program, (which has engaged more than 10,000 community leaders) and her ability to leverage more than 330 collaborations in the community.
Veronica’s foundational belief system is guided by three fundamental characteristics – intense motivation to help others, integrity, and trust.
Veronica has been featured in numerous prestigious publications, including Top 25 People to Watch by CEO941 Magazine, Sarasota Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Impact in Action Award, SRQ Magazine’s Women in Business Award, and the Tampa Bay Journal Woman of the Year finalist, among others.
She is a graduate of the Sarasota Civilian Police Academy, Gulf Coast Leadership Institute, Leadership Sarasota, and Leadership Manatee. She demonstrates her love of community by supporting numerous charities and has served on the boards for the Sarasota Parks Foundation, Glasser/Schoenbaum Human Services Center, Pines Foundation, Project 180, Child Protection Center, the McKay Academy, Leadership Manatee Alumni Association, and the All-Star Children’s Foundation.
Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Veronica earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Boston University and her master’s degree in business from the University of Maryland. After 9/11, the Washington, D.C. area was not the same. Her goal was to find a house with a palm tree, and she kept driving south until she found the perfect community.
Veronica and her husband, Jeremy, love Florida as much as their Bichon Frise rescue, Duchess Alexandria (Lexi), and Maltese rescue, Czarina Anastasia (Tazi).
