For most people, the purchase or sale of a home represents the largest investment of a lifetime. Did you know that only 10% of people shopping for a new home have the vision to see their belongings in another house?
That’s why we offer home staging to our clients, at no cost, to help make a distinct first impression on potential buyers. The first impression a home conveys to a buyer is the single most important element in a buyer's decision-making process. In fact, buyers typically make their purchasing decisions within minutes of entering a home.
According to the 2019 National Association of REALTORS® Profile of Home Staging, 83% percent of agents said staging a home made it easier for a buyer to visualize the property as a future home, as well as increased the dollar value offered between 6% and 10%, compared to other similar homes on the market that were not staged. In addition, 28% of agents stated that there was a decrease in the time on the market when the home is staged.
It’s impossible to enter a new place or home without leaving with a first impression, and those homes that leave you with the best impressions are the ones you probably want to make your own. Staging your home is important because you want potential buyers to have a good first impression of your home. You may love the way your home looks, but a professional home stager knows what people look for and can tailor your decor and furniture so that it will be appealing to the most people.
Another reason staging your home is important is because you want potential buyers to be able to picture themselves living there. You wouldn’t buy a house if you couldn’t picture your life there, would you? If your home is empty, it might look clean, but it is also harder for people to picture themselves lounging on the sofa or making breakfast in the kitchen. As a professional stager, we know exactly how to arrange your home with furnishings and decorations so that it will attract the most potential buyers.
We all have those junk drawers or side tables that never seem to stay clean. These are the places where you throw your keys when you get home from work, or the place where you toss junk mail with plans to sort through it later. Although clutter is common for most people, it’s not something you will want to see when looking for a new home.
Clutter gives buyers the impression that there isn’t enough storage space in your home. When you hire us to stage your home, we will help eliminate the clutter so your home feels cleaner and put together.
